hello. this is my second post regarding my tomato frog odon. he has some problems above his eyes and 2 lumps on his back. this did not get me any help and was barley viewed. i have thus carried along hoping he would get better treating him with melafix to hope to heal the wounds. he has gotten a lot worse and has more bumps, a cracked sore and has lost everything really he seems bloated and whenever i hold him he just goes limp and lets me hold him however (this is very out of character for him as he never trusted me) this may be a side affect of him going sorta crazy last night running around in his tank splashing water on himself he was very energetic. can anyone help me or is it just his time to go. ive done everything the pet store recommend where i got him and i just don't know what to do now.
his problems
Considering the black tissue around the wound I would go to see a vet. I know it's expensive, but he may need stronger antibiotics than you can provide from an ointment.
https://arav.site-ym.com/search/custom.asp?id=3661 is a good resource for finding local reptile and amphibian vets.

This is just a desperate attempt, but have you heard of or tried using raw honey on the wounds? Honey is nature's antibiotic and antifungal and is a humectant (keeps moisture in) so it wouldn't dry the skin. Perhaps try soaking the little guy in some lukewarm water with honey??? Maybe 1/2 to 1 teaspoon honey to 1 cup a water twice a day. If you're at the point where you have tried everything, I don't see that this will hurt, especially if you do not have the funds to see an exotic pet vet! Good luck!!
