Default Humidity holding paper towel alternatives

My frogs have had an ongoing infection of trematodes, which the vet said are almost never entirely gotten rid of. I had to dismantle my whole vivarium and change it to paper towels for easier regular cleaning. Sadly they don't hold humidity well. I could put down cocoa fiber or something but that seems like a pain to clean every week or so.

    Are there even any alternatives?

Put plexiglass over 80-85% of the lid. It can hold humidity very well.

that might work. I could put it down everywhere but under the heat lamp.
