Question Are wood hides safe to use in pacman frogs terrariums?

Hi I recently got my first pacman frog.I setup my terrarium with ecoearth , a water dish, a fake plsnt and a wood hide for my pacman. And i was wandering if there are risks in using bark in his terrarium since i ve herad that mold is not good for the frogs health.

Hello, I have many Pac-Man frogs and don't worry. If you clean the cage once a month, and wash down the hide, it will not acquire mold. The only thing you need to do is to just make sure your frog has ample room under the hide. If it does acquire mold then first try and disinfect it, wash it off, and if it does not come off then just toss it and get a new one, or not. They do not need a hide, but sometimes they like it. So don't get worried if your hide keeps getting mold.

Just switched from wood to plastic hides for our pacmans. There is a wooden base with a plastic plant i got for our pacific treefrogs that keeps getting moldy so i am looking for an alternative for them too.
