Sad news. Uncle Fester died today after a sudden two day illness. He had doubled his weight and was active and healthy until two days ago, when he would not eat. One back leg swelled up and a sore opened but there was no pus. Yesterday he got lethargic and he spit out crickets i fed him. Today the vet gave him injected antibiotics because his leg had turned green and white ( usually he was always brown). When i went to get him from the vet after work, a few hours after the vet examined him, he had died from sepsis. He did not have any pus. The vet cultured the clear fluid in his leg for bacteria and is having his poop analyzed for parasites. We are heartbroken. So is Sumo, his cage mate of a decade, who seems totally healthy. Vet said he did not have a heart beat and he is limp, but his jaws are tightly clenched. Any ideas on what happened would be appreciated. RIP Uncle Fester. He was a totally cool friendly frog.

So sorry for your loss. It's hard to work so hard to save something and then it dies anyway.
