Ook, well I woke up yesterday morning, went down stairs and to my surprise there was only 1 frog visible in my terrarium.. I thought nothing of. I know they like to hide out,
Well i checked through out the day yesterday to see if my grey tf would show himself.. and still nothing..
I shifted the plants around to see if he's just hanging out in the pothos plants under a leaf, but still nothing..
I woke up this morning to add a few crikets and I still see no grey tf, I thought W T F??
So I decided to give a slight cleaning, to get out dead crix that perrished in the waterbowl or just didn't make it throught out the night, so I removed all but three plants
2x dwarf mondo grass & a creeping fig because it was heavily rooted already, didn't want to disturb them... anyway,
I shifted the loose soil around the plants still planted and I see no sign my my grey, all of the sticks & plants were then remover, one at a time and exaimined accordingly but still now sign of my grey.... W T F???
I can't imagine that he would have escaped because the metal mesh top built specificly for that tank is 90& metal and it more than likely weighs 3x as much as the little grey tf....
So I procedded to look around the tank to see if it had escaped and I see no sign of him.........
W T F, has any of u had a frog that could vanish like houdini
What should I do, my apt is small it couldn't have gotten far if it did escape.....

First off, is the screen top secured down or are you hoping the weight of it will keep him in? because let me tell you, those little buggers are resourcefull. Second, I can't tell you how many times I've searched all throughout my tank looking for a particular frog, can't find him and then the next night he shows up walking around the cage. They hide amazingly well, even though you think you've turned over every leaf.
No its not secured down, there is a clamp lamp & a few other things sitting on it though,
I need to get some lid clamps,
Yeah I figured they are sneeky lil bastids,
when I removed everything I sifted the top soil throught 95% of the tank, it would have scarred him into jumping around... idk, I hope he's still in there and alive and just hiding.... not trapped by something...
If you really think he's gotten out put out small water dishes on the floor around the apartment. Maybe he'll show up in one of those looking for moisture.
Completely remove the substrate and go through it by hand - they sometimes bury themselves.
