Ha, ace is a favorite name of mine. It was the name I was going to call my old box turtle. Iam using it to call my fearless toad. He is an adorable little one though. He looks skinny to me though. o.O mine is a bit fat. Mine is more relaxed and chill. You can even "play" with it. Like it wont jump out of your hand but you can try getting it motivated to climb onto you. Idk why but mine likes to sit on the shoulders for some reason. His name is kermit. :U Hmm nice frog though. Very nice, very nice.
Congrats on Finnigan. He looks very handsome.
Yes, he does look a little thin in the photo- but when I looked him over, he looked rather healthy. The larger one is much fatter, and I wonder if perhaps she just bumped him out of the way whilst hunting for her crickets. He is adorable. I want to take a picture of him right now because I can just see him peeking out from beneath his substrate. I can't sleep, I want for them to be happy in their new environment and I am jittery about anything going wrong. Does anyone know the average humidity that you should keep your WTF's at? I could really use the information. Thanks for all of the positive comments guys, it truly makes me feel great- and I have the highest hopes for my little Finnigan.
Alright, so I had to show you the best picture I could get of Finnigan, right now. It's 2:46 am, and he's wide awake, peeking out of his substrate blanket. Such a shy little bugger- he ran right back into his burrowed area right after this pic.
So shy and so cute. After a couple of days he may venture out a bit more.
I certainly hope so. Haha, he's so cute. Oh- and I think that I have been newly assured of Finnigans gender. He woke me up this morning with some surprisingly loud croaks! I was startled at first because I had no idea what I was hearing. But then I recognized the sound and I became very excited- because I've wanted a boy for this exact reason! Well, I moved to get up and my bed started creaking- and he immediately stopped, so I couldn't make out who it was for sure: but I am crossing my fingers and hoping that it's Finn. I've looked up some stuff, and as far as sexing goes for White's it's obviously not easy- but I read that some traits can include a gray-ish throat (as opposed to a milky-white one), nuptial pads, sagging in the throat area, and smaller size. Finnigan is the smaller adult, he has a darker throat than the other- and it's just a little saggier. I can't wait for him to become comfortable enough to sing to me.![]()
