    Default Injured woodfrog

My boyfriend was mowing the lawn today and the blades must have nicked this little fellow on his hand, he's bleeding and I'm not really sure what I can do for the guy. I have him in a jar with some moss and grass to hide in so he isn't scared, but how can I treat his leg and keep it from gettin infected?

Keep him on moist paper towels with some kind of hide. Change the towels every 2 days or so until you're sure the frog is alright. Unless the leg is badly damaged, it'll probably be alright.

You should also provide a water dish...if you have not done that already.

If you decide to keep it make sure you have the following:
    10gallon tank
    soil
    Water dish
    Food(livefood)

If you want to feed it you can feed it fruit flies and pinhead crickets.

Personally id clean out the paper towel everyday but thats just me. Eventually itll regenerate as long as its not a whole limb it should be fine. If it is a whole limb itll get a stub(though I did saw this african clawed frog have his leg recover and heal completely back to normal)

He quit bleeding shortly after we caught him, and he seems more normal. before hand he was in shock i guess because he wouldn't move much when I picked him up. He isn't missing any toes or his front foot, just a small patch of skin, thankfully. So once he's all better I'll send him on his way! Thank you for the advice I'll put that into effect immediately. I already had a water dish in with him, but I'll take the moss out and place in some paper towels.

Just provide a hiding spot for the frog or it will stress out.
