hi there
I am wondering about the proper care of a blue spotted salamander ( diet ,supplements, etc)
Thanks
I keep mine in a heavily planted vivarium with lots of leaf litter and bark for hiding. Since they climb, they must have a tight, escape proof lid. They have a water dish, but seldom use it. Temps range from the low 50's to the low 70's, depending on the season.
They will eat nearly any tiny invertebrate they can consume. I feed small isopods, earthworms, crickets, and dubia. I dust the crickets and dubia with reptivite with D3. I mist heavily, then feed them, after lights out.
