Hey y’all,
I have three whites in a 40 gallon aquarium, but i have been told this was very wrong. I am looking to switch ASAP, but need to find whats the best size tank for a good price. I am only 17 and thought my tank was fine since they have stuff to climb on, but i was wrong. I dont want one that is too cramped for them either.
Thank you!!
Honestly a 40 isn’t terrible. The additional height would be beneficial but bear in mind they might not make use of it. The majority of WTFs I’ve owned over the past 20 years have preferred to hang out lower than higher and I’ve kept them in both horizontal and high vertical enclosures. If you’re handy or know someone who is you can convert a 40 to a vertical with some modifications. If not the exo terra talls are a great way to go.
They do stay low and will spend some time in the water if you give them a paludarium setup.
I have White's that enjoy the height so it depends on what your frogs do. If they climb a lot then yes I would get the tall exo terra terrarium.
