Well 2 Leopard Frogs would be okay in a 55 gallon. I would wait until you get the tank to decide. The leopard frogs are going to get much larger and are going to be more nervous so you won't be able to handle them and it will make taking them out for whatever reason more difficult than if you would get a fire belly toad. If you get fire belly toads you can have many in the 55 gallon it's just what you like better. You also would have to check if you're catching one in the wild to see if you're legally allowed to have one and if you are going to buy one you have to just hope that it comes healthy.
