Yoki and Taiki are both Pacific Chorus frogs. Yoki I have had for a while and bought from a petstore. I was told he was captive bred, but, having never met the breeder, I can't guarantee that. Taiki was a stowaway in a friends' camping gear from the coast of B.C. Taiki is in a quarantine tank and being fed crickets every other day to increase her original 1" size (she is now 1 1'2"!). Eventually I would like to house her with Yoki. Should I be concerned about the fact that Taiki is wild-caught and Yoki is presumed captive-bred?
If you've had them for more than a month, short of having fecal examinations done and then medicating them if appropriate, there's no point in keeping them apart, in my opinion.

I, unfortunately, do not have a vet in my area that is willing to deal with amphibians, so a proper fecal exam is not an option available to me. So far, she eats normally, is active, gaining weight and size, and the visual exam I have done of her feces appears normal (solid, normal colour and no unwanted guests). I plan on keeping her separate for another month, just to make sure, and to allow her to grow a bit bigger so she can hold her own against Yoki (who is a big boy!).
Oooh..Then you will have a spare enclosure. What species are you going to get next?

Lol-actually, I borrowed the enclosure from a friend, as I had no spare tanks for a quarantine. Once Taiki and Yoki are together, I promised to give the Exo-Terra back. Just my luck, eh? However, if I could keep it, I would sterilize every nook and cranny and probably get the Antilles Pink Toe tarantula that I have been drooling over at the pet store for two months now. That, or a Green Tree frog.
Oh well you might have to get your self a early Christmas present.![]()
