Sorry lol I know I’ve been asking a lot of questions lately. Since the whole nightcrawler fiasco, I’ve been getting my little buddy freeze dried crickets until I can get something better tomorrow when I get paid. Problem is, he won’t eat them. I’ve tried tong feeding, rubbing it around his mouth, even trying the suggestion of placing it on his back to trigger some kind of response and he lunged at the cricket and bit at it, but didn’t actually eat it. I then thought to just leave the cricket in the tank overnight, maybe he would have to eat on his own terms. Well I woke up and checked, and the cricket was still there. I’m not dusting the crickets yet until I get paid tomorrow so I figured a day or two without calcium wouldn’t hurt. The temperatures remain at high 70’s to mid 80’s, the humidity remains between 50 and 80, and although the tank is large (20 gallon), I put a partition in there to make it appear much smaller, hopefully to decrease stress levels. I feel like I’ve been over worrying so much that I might be stressing the frog out more lol. When might I expect my baby Pac-Man Frog to start eating and is there any way I can help with the stress levels?
Edit: after a full twenty minutes of rubbing his mouth with the tongs, almost feeling bad about it, he finally ate half a cricket
