I found this frog on my living room floor - I beileive he was attacked by the family cat.
I know very little about frogs, but I really love them. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to help him? He is alive, but the wound seems extremely severe.
Would greatly appreciate any advice on what I can do for him, even if all I can do is end his suffering.

That leg looks like it's almost chewed off! Amputation might be the only answer, but a vet should do it.
That depends. I amputated my frogs leg at home almost a year ago! Will you post a pic of his underside? If you have a reptile vet nearby you should take frog there. If not you should amputate if you can - it’ll just get infected and fall off if you don’t. Try styptic powder to stop the bleeding and remember to use rubbing alcohol on whatever you use to amputate. I recommend putting him in the freezer for a few minutes to calm him down. Poor lil guy! Keep us updated![]()
How did he even get in the house? I'd check for any openings in walls and such to make sure this doesn't happen again! I also agree that you should take the little guy to a vet if possible. There could be internal injuries that may kill him if left untreated. Good luck!
