Here is a great cricket food- it's the one I use during my cricket breeding:
1 pinch manufactured cricket food (dust)
Half of a brown banana
1 tsp white sugar
1 pinch Herptivite
Combine the ingredients. Make sure the bananas are squished, never chunky. Use approximately two tablespoons at a time in a clean food dish. After 6 hours, throw away any uneaten food and replace it with fresh food.
Any advantage to this recipe over a simple ground cat food+skim milk powder recipe?
I'm a fan of using cat food as it doesn't really go bad and is therefore very low maintenance. I've been even lazier the past few weeks and have just been dumping the cat food in whole, the crickets can still manage it and they seem to be doing fine.
