    I think they can recognize you and associate you with food.

    I think the frogs will bond with one another in captivity and do recognize kin. They will not mate with them in the wild they can tell by the pitch of their call. I believe that they will bond in captivity even more as kin or opposite sex.

    I think it just boils down to conditioning. Human approaches enclosure, it opens, human dumps food in. My darts all look up when I open the top of their terrariums for feeding. I doubt the recognize me per se but they definitely respond when I feed them. My dumpy could care less lol
