Default Gray Tree Frog - Hunger strike??? Help Needed!

My hyla versicolor gray tree frog hasn't eaten in 2 days. She is less than a year old and normally has a voracious appetite. On Monday (2 days ago) she ate a very big meal that included the calcium supplement. Since then she's been hiding and has missed 2 feedings. Normally this one frog is the most aggressive eater in the terrarium but now she has wedged herself behind the terrarium backing in one of the chord channels and hasn't moved since at least 10 pm last night. She is still alive but I don't know what may be going on. Help!

What can I do? Is this normal? Could she have eaten too much? Too much calcium?

Please and thank you for your feedback.

Skipping food for two days, in and of itself, isn't cause for worry. The hiding is probably a response to cooler temps and shorter days.
Still, it should be monitored for signs of health issues.

Is your frog wild caught? This time of year, wild grays typically go into brumation. It seems to just kinda be instinct for them in most causes. CBB grays could possibly have the same issue too I suppose. My grays really struggled with eating the first winter I had them, but since then they've calmed down and lost their "wild" instincts. They remind a lot of WTFs. Keep an eye on your little guy's weight, but most likely he'll pull through just fine.

    That's really cool observations

To avoid dormant and slower metabolism you need humidity like in the 60-70% and need at least 75°F but no more then 80 for heat. This will stimulate their internal clocks and helps them to stay hungry! Mine are going through their first winter and gained tremendous weight and they have to be held to a diet because they are boarder line fat. It's normal for these frogs to eat a big feast and be uninterested in prey for days.

    Good luck with your Grays
