Look at this lovely guy I found in my yard! He’s approximately 5 inches!
Anyways, if the leapord frogs around here decide to lay eggs I want to raise some tadpole babies. I’m in central Florida where the Cuban tree frogs are outcompeting everything. Even the Cuban tadpoles are eating the other species! So I think any native frog babies can use all the help they can get. Any advice on caring for them? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth finding a filter or not, since they don’t like strong current and they can get water changes from the backyard neighborhood pond they came from as often as they need. Are there any inexpensive tadpole friendly filters out there you all can recommend? Any other advice for these guys in particular? Thanks!
Also I didn’t catch or even touch this frog, just took pictures and tried to measure him (I held up a balde of grass and ripped it to his size to measure later). He is still wild and free![]()
