Thread: Springtails taking a dip.

  1. #1

    Default Springtails taking a dip.

I apologise if this is in the wrong section but wasn't sure where to post this question.
My bioactive tank is all set up (no frogs yet though).
I have a water dish in there already but I have noticed that every morning when I turn on the lights there are tons of springtails in there.
I keep scooping them out on a leaf but can't keep doing this all the time. Is this normal and will I have to replace them from time to time because of this. They aren't dead but don't know if they will drown if left in there.
Also will they irritate the frogs when they go in there?
Probably totally normal but just wanted to check.
    Thanks.
