Hello everybody!
I just joined today, and I have to admit I'm a total newbie. I've been interested in frogs for a while, but only recently have I started to research into getting one. I am interested in tree frogs, arrow frogs and milk frogs most of all, but I won't be buying anytime soon.I have a lot more research to put in!

Thank you! I'm already learning a lot.
Welcome aboard. Just FYI, milk frogs are a type of treefrog.
Welcome to the Forum!
Welcome, welcome, welcome! It's great that you're doing research first. It's actually very impressive.
Welcome to the forum. It's great that you're doing your research on your frogs before you get them. You'll be much more comfortable and have less to worry about when you finally do get them. I also have found that half the fun is setting up the perfect enclosure for them. Check out the photo albums of others for ideas and have fun making the perfect home for your new arrivals. Your new frogs will be more relaxed in there new home if its setup correctly from the beginning. Ask a lot of questions...this is the perfect place to learn.
PS- I'd go with the Milk frogs... they look adorable.
I just wished I had the room for some milks. I was so tempted at the Hamburg show in June, Michael Novy had some gorgeous frogs. I ended up getting Dendropsophus ebraccatus* from him.
*Formerly Hyla ebraccata.
Welcome to the forum! Michael Novy has some lovely young milk frogs right now. He's on this forum too if you're interested in some.

Welcome! I'm partial to poison dart frogs and there are a number of varieties that are relatively easy to care for and breed. One of my favorite things about them is that they are active during the day, so you see them a lot if you stay away from the shy species.
Good beginner dart frogs include Dendrobates tinctorius (dozens of color morphs - including the blue dart frog - like the pair in my avatar photo), D. auratus (often called the Green & Black dart frog - although they come in many colors morphs as well), and D. leucomelas - the "bumble bee" dart frog.
I used to think that I had to understand in order to believe, then I realized that I must believe in order to understand - Augustine
Jim,
I will definitely check all of those out, thanks!
