Thank you all for your advice so far on raising a tree frog. I finally went ahead and picked up a Whites on Saturday. He, we'll just go with he I don't know for sure, eats pretty readily as soon as the crickets hit the tank. My only concern so far is that while he can climb and certainly likes to chase crickets up the wall, in general he prefers to stay on the ground, either out in the open or in his log hiding place. Is this normal, maybe just acclimating?
Just make sure he has plenty of branches to climb around the terrarium, and that there is "cover" available above the ground and not just on the ground.

It's hard to make out your terrarium from your pictures because of the reflection. Any chance of taking some clearer pictures of your setup?
yeah a bit more branches and stuff but good work i have a whites tree frog aswell (2 actually) lol and they are great![]()
Hi again, just a bit of an update with hopefully some better pictures, still some glare sorry about that. Trevor eats regularly, his poo looks good and at night he definitely climbs around the tank. During the day he's most comfortable in his hidey log and of course is pretty dormant. Info about the tank, it is 10 gallons and I know that's not ideal for an adult white's but I will upgrade once he grows a bit and I can make the purchase of a nice tall terrarium. Thanks again for everyone's comments.
Hello Trevor.
Congrats! I just picked up two new White's myself, though they aren't my first- nothing beats the excitement. I like your set up, and the little guy certainly is a cutie!

Never stopped. Its when they talk back that its a problem.
Hey All,
Thanks for the kind words. Trevor seems to be doing well so far. It's really fun to watch him eat. Now if I could just get this whole humidity and moist substrate thing down, I'm sure things will be ok.
what a cutie!
