Ive heard that normal overhead heat lamps stress out Albinos, and notmal room light is better
I am using the lamp for a main source of heat and needed some more insight

They are much more sensitive to UV light than the normal frogs. I would recommend just using ceramic heat emitters, especially if you are receiving some natural exterior light in the room.
I think you could make it work as long as you take proper precautions. If you use lamps, you might want to look into getting infrared bulbs the appropriate distance above the frog so that it doesn't damage their eyes. Do you use a dimmer or thermostat for your lamp? As with any heat source, you will want to look into one of these. I bought mine off of Amazon for under $20 & it works like a charm. (I know this wasn't your question, just wanted to throw that in while on the topic!)
Plenty of people use overhead lights as their heat source. It's just a matter of preference, in my opinion. Just make sure that the humidity stays at a safe level & the substrate is not getting bone dry.![]()
