Default Suggest common houseplants that aren't pothos?

I'd like something that can cope with terrarium lighting and is tough enough to be sterilized within an inch of its life and sat on by fat WTFs. Variegated pothos was almost perfect for this, but I got tired of the frequent pruning. My purple striped transcendentia got weedy and died out, but that could have been because the pothos was blocking the light.

I also tried peacock fern, but it died out pretty quickly maybe due to not enough light: http://www.onlineplantguide.com/Imag...ry/S/14550.jpg

I have had good success with pothos, philodendron, spider plants, dwarf shefflera, and wandering jew. Various ivies do ok for me, unless I overwater them.
I manage to kill most everything else.

Those are all pretty hard to kill. But dwarf shefflera and philodendron might still be a bit tall for my purposes. Has anyone had luck growing African violets in tanks? I have orchids I could transplant but I'm worried about killing them while sterilizing them.

There are different types of philodendron. I guess it was the heart leafed philodendron I was thinking of. It is similar to pothos, but seems to climb better.
As far as height, many plants will grow fuller when the tops are cut.
You should look at NEHERP and Josh's Frogs, both sell a lot of vivarium plants.

Dracaena sp are almost indestructible. The caveat is that they thrive with less water though.

Prayer plants ( Maranta leuconeura ) are tough like pothos but slower growing, they can be trained to be bushy or vine like and they have low to medium light needs.

Have you thought about getting a better light like a JUNGLE DAWN full spectrum LED bulb? Here is a link https://www.arcadiareptile.com/lighting/jungle-dawn/

I've considered the lighting. Any particular wattage you'd recommend? Right now I have a 13 watt Green Gro LED.

Depends on the size of your cage you can check on NEHerps they have a general page I use to find sizing and offer good products but you can use that info to buy whatever from where ever you want here is link http://www.neherpetoculture.com/vivlightkits I like them best because they provide a lot of good info I dont like punctuation

Peace Lillies work with these frogs and add good variety with their color and shape. I think it's called a ponytail palm tand it has a sturdy base for the frogs to climb on. Lucky Bamboo is another easy slow growing plant. I agree ivy is very easy for these frogs. An Autumn Brilliance Fern you can get at somewhere like Lowe's or Home Depot is great for low level lighting. African Violets are hard to keep because if they get watered too heavy or if dirt gets on their leaves I've seen them basically die. Maybe some people can keep this plant with a WTF but I never had success. You could try it though.
