    Smile Feeding gifs

Thought I would share a few gifs (low quality, sorry) I made of my frog eating crickets. He's eating well and growing steadily! I'm working on training him with tongs. If he's really hungry, he'll take the first cricket off the tongs, but shies away from them after that. I guess it just takes patience and practice!

Glad you think so! Each time I feed him he seems to grow bolder and more ravenous. He just had his first superworm tonight and I plan to try earthworms next time I feed

Use nightcrawlers, the regular earthworms are sometimes distasteful to frogs, and you don't want to cause him to have an aversion to a great food source like nightcrawlers.

Don't worry, they're European nightcrawlers! They don't give off the smelly fluid red wigglers do. I had been feeding him red wigglers when I first got him and he ate them fine for a while, but as you said he developed an aversion and it was quite an ordeal to get him eating again. Now that he's eating so well and willing to try new foods I'm confident I can ease him into nightcrawlers!
