    Default (Newb Q&A)

Ok, so I have this Exo Terra ultra sonic fog generator & I've had it for a while now and i still haven't figured out how to best incorporate this into my already assembled GTF tank...

I've got it set up without any standing water, just water bowls for bathing/chillen in
what should i do with it???
How do i use this thing???

I understand that it has to go in water only a certain depth or it will either not flow right or it will shut off, ive figured that out...
This is a picture of my current tank,

The problem with those foggers is that they evaporate the water so quickly you have to have a large body of water to accommodate the evaporation issue or it will shut off. They are not really a practical way to control your hummidity requirements. Zoomed makes the Repti-fogger which is only 20 bucks more but has a water bottle as part of the device that keeps it replenished. If you want to continue to use your fogger you could put it in the appropriate depth bowl and put it on a simple wall timer so it doesn't come on that much. Add water each day. You could increase the time its on if you have enough water in it at the end of the day. But if you have the mkeans check out the repti-fogger.

Yeah, my local exotic pet store sells them for around 68$ or so..
I got this fogger for 25$ off ebay lol

+ the repti-fogger is so large, id have nowhere to place it around my frog tank...
I don't really like the way it looks,
I found a small plastic bowl that has the proper depth and is wide enough to keep the water from squirting out of the bowl into the substrate,

Foggers are a lot more trouble than they are worth, in my opinion.

I agree, I had this fogger in my other forest style terrarium but it ran my lake dry many times... lol
And my 2 forest armadillo lizards wernt happy with me, I always got the stink eye from the female...

Spraying, is far more practical, and IMO more reliable.
