It’s very unlikely that the mass is a fat deposit. Frogs develop fat deposits within the body cavity. I agree with Bynny Ribbit that a vet visit is in order.
How is he? Is he still alive?

Sorry for not responding for so long. Yes, he is still alive. The lump gradually went down and now it's gone. The wound is also just about healed and he looks the same as he did prior to getting the lump and wound (except for a very small scar where the lump was). To be honest, i wasn't very worried about this because he is my most voracious frog, and he's always fat and active at night.![]()
