I wish I could be more help but I will share my experience. When I first got my WTF he slept on the floor which scared me but it turns out that the climbing things in his tank were not sturdy enough for his weight. Once I replaced thing sturdier branches and plants he climbed fine. Probably not what is happening with yours but it’s something to think about.
