    Default Yummy Tongs

Last night I was tong feeding my frog and he missed the food, not only this but he tried eating the tongs instead. He got stuck on the end of one of the tongs and I couldn’t get him off so I tried wiggling. If you have read some of my previous posts you can tell that I’m pretty cautious when it comes to stuff like this, could this experience have scarred Froggo?

If it didnt injure him he should be fine. Thats why its good to use plastic ones so they dont cut themselves if they bite on them.

Scarred physically or mentally? Either way, these frogs are pretty hardy and mine has chomped down on her tongs many times. It's often best not to pull or wiggle them and simply let them decide to let go. I would recommend bamboo tongs personally, but most things are better over metal in this case.

Keep an eye on his mouth area to make sure any possible injury doesn't get infected. All else fails, a vet can look into his mouth to make sure he's okay.

There is no reason to ever feed your frog with tongs. The chance of it getting a mouth injury is very real. I do hope your frog is not injured.
