I work at Walmart and found a very injured tree frog on the floor today. He’s missing a large area of skin on his front left side and is completely missing his front right leg. I’ve never cared for a tree frog before and have no clue what to do. I can give photos if needed. Thanks for reading!
Hi Noah, so sorry I wasn't here sooner! Is the frog still alive? Yes, pictures would be greatly appreciated.
He’s still alive and actually climbing around now! The missing skin on his side has started to heal a little, but where his right leg was is still very pink.
That's awesome! Have you tried to feed him yet? He may not want to eat but it's worth a shot. Also you might want to try gently dabbing some neosporin without painkiller on the wounds. Be careful as painkillers can euthanize him. Good on you for taking him in!
