Genetics, mood, and temperature can effect the coloring of a pyxie(and most herps).
Some though are just genetically lighter and darker than others. I also have a theory that pyxies that are raised warmer will turn out to be lighter colored adults, and individuals raised cooler will be darker. It's just a theory though.
