i have been told either light bulbs or heat mat but i was using a heat mat and the thermostat malfunctioned and fried the heat mat. right now the temp is okay but soon we will be using an AC unit and i think he may get cold so what should i use?
what size of tank and what temperatures are in the tank. also with a ac in the room he will for sure get cold then tank needs to get to 80 degrees to help the frog move food thru him. i use light bulbs on all five of my tanks but they dry out very quickly but they hit the temps that i need. With UTH remember to put them on the sides of the tank because under will burn your frog. there is pros and cons to both but i choose bulbs because it is easier just a darn pain to mist as much still figuring out on how to fix that lol.
I use bulbs. I have a lamp fixture with a dimmer, and use a Daytime bulb. This works perfectly. I can adjust the light/heat if the temps get to high. It works perfectly. I also have a UTH but have decided not to use it. The light fixture and bulb work great and I am maintaining good Temps and Humidity levels.
