Glad you're getting that checked out. Best case would probably be infected cricket bites, but I doubt there'd be so many in one place. Parasites are possible.

I tong feed and make sure all the crickets that fall into the tank are eating or taken out so I doubt it’s cricket bites. He’s on his way to the vet now so we’ll find out soon!
Is he doing ok? Did you find out what he has yet?
I would be interested in reading updates concerning his prognosis. One of my tree frogs (maybe both...still figuring that out) turned out to have parasites and they had marks not too different from the ones your frog has though hers never bled.
