Hi - I really do need help, advice and guidance, please! I thought this forum would be a great way to find food help for my rapidly transforming little American Bullfrog froglet - but no one has replied yet. Please help!
Hello! I got some bullfrog tadpoles from someone recently as a present for my 8-yr-old nephew. He was thrilled! I kept one of the 'older' looking ones that already had a head start on its back legs emerging. Now it is to the point that its front legs have come in and it only has maybe 1/4" left of its originally 3"+ tail and spending most of its time out of the water.
What do I feed it now, and where can I get it?Thanks!

Try small crickets and mealworms, and waxworms. Make sure you use an appropriate supplement.
What's his status today? How long is his tail? Try Petsmart and Petco.
I highly recommend dubia roaches for your frog. You can order them online or find them at many other places. I got mine from the Midwest Reptile Show in Indy, but you can find them for sale on various reptile sites and even amazon. You can also give them crickets. Wax worms and similar feeders are good occasional treats. Feed it everyday. You need to dust your feeders with vitamins and calcium+D3. I use mix that's 2 parts calcium+D3 to 1 part vitamin mix. Twice a week just give one dusted with calcium. Feed him prey the size of the distance between its eyes. I'd give him 1-2. Feed the roaches or crickets healthy fruits and vegetables. I mix banana with Fluker's cricket food for the roaches.

Like the calcium/vitamin powder I read about from one of your earlier posts? Is there a particular place where I can buy these small insects? I have checked on Craigslist, PetSmart and Amazon and can only find canned or freeze dried wax/mealworms and crickets. Can my little froglet eat these? THANK YOU and bless you for your help! DeLara
Attachment 79499 Here is a picture of Toe-D. :P Its nostrils appeared yesterday and it only has, maybe, 1/3" of a tail left, if that much.
You can check Pet Supplies Plus. Petsmart does sell crickets. https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/foo...l-4034639.html you can also find the cricket food and supplements at petsmart. Thats where I got mine.
