Seeking advice

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I’ve never used a forum and not sure how it all works!

I live in outback Australia and my house gets mobbed by bugs. I had an idea that if I got a frog or toad and kept him in an open topped tank in my bedroom, come dusk I could turn on his light and all the bugs in my room would go to him and he could eat them, instead of bombarding me when I try and go to bed.

I was was wondering if this sounds like a pheasable idea to you knowledgeable frog people? And if so does anyone have any recxomendations of a suitable breed? Preferably a larger, more sedate animal that wouldn’t be trying to escape all the time.
