Looks like a recently metamophed toad to me, possibly Bufo americanus, Bufo terrestris or Bufo fowleri. (Based on your location)
I would bet money on Bufo terrestris though, given the organization of the pigmentation spots on the dorsal side.
Hard to tell at that age for me, I have not quite developed "the eye" yet for juveniles. I am sure that a few of the more experienced here can elaborate further.
Very interesting, and thank you. I am curious, considering his small size, what would be his diet? I would like to keep him, if I can get him to eat. Thanks again,
Gary
Small insects such as fruit flies, pin-head sized crickets, and springtails.
Doesn't look like americanus or fowleri to me so I agree with Johnny.
