Default Ranid Frogs and Bufo Toads eat ants?

I was wondering if anyone has tried using ants not as a primary feeder but as something for variety for their frog or toad? I was wondering if people ever tried Harvester Ants with any of these species? I know they have a painful bite but I wasn't sure if people used these ants or any other north American species?

I am not going to use Harvester Ants but I will try Carpenter Ants at some point. These are wild frogs and toads so they eat these ants in the wild.
