Hello,
My name is Ken Barlow, I am from Lebanon, CT. I have a yellow Bull Frog in my frog pond. I have lived here my whole life and never saw anything like it. I am trying to post a pic but can't seen to right now. I could email it to you if you are interested in seeing it or have more information about him. He is quite the sight to behold.
Thank you,
Ken

Yes, it's either albino or hypomelanistic. Albino bullfrogs are known and quite popular in the pet trade (though I'm not sure why). Does it look like this? :

Welcome aboard.
Thats definitely NOT an albino. Nor is it a bullfrog. That, my friend is a green frog, Lithobates clamitans melanota. What gives it away it the two dorsal ridges along the back. Green frogs have them, bullfrogs don't. Still very nice though.
He's green and yellow. He's a little more yellow than most but within the colour range for this species. See this photo: CalPhotos: Rana clamitans melanota; Green Frog

I confirmed that all of the frogs in my pond are of the same species. From almost black to this little bugger. I guess he must be a little bit rare because everyone who has seen him or seen these pics have never saw one this yellow.
BTW, That frog from Virgina looks almost exactly like him except for the spots.
Thank you all,
Ken Barlow
You are welcome!
