Hi Kevin,
You are right Pyxicephalus delalandi is now Tomopterna delalandii (note species spelling). It's popular names are Cape or Delalande's Sand Frog.
They are medium-sized burrowing frogs that are toad-like in appearance. They are often associated with a variety of biomes but generally avoid forested or extremely dry areas. They prefer sandy soils with temporary ponds. They also hibernate underground. This particular species prefers the lowlands of the fynbos and the succulent Karoo.
