How to keep frog warm

The heat mat on the bottom is usually a no go with burrowing frogs, they burrow to keep cool not to get warm. If you were outside in the summer if you stick your finger into some soil or dark dirt it will cooler to the touch. I did a whole experiment on this just this past summer and the temp difference about an inch down is way cooler then the surface temp and air temps. I would get a heat bulb and that should do it. You can get a red bulb as stated above and get a thermostat and if you cant get a thermostat even a dimmer will do. With the thermostat you will need one that has a night and day setting because you should have a drop in temps at night. Also if you haven't already you can cover half to 2/3 of the top with tin foil and this will help a lot to keep the heat and humidity up. And I know there is people that keep these frogs with heat matts on the bottom but it is very unnatural for them. When we take these animals into our homes it is up to us to mimic there natural living conditions as much as possible and heat comes from the sun above not from the ground. And please don't think I'm telling you to change it or giving you a lecture, its just something to think about.
