Question Bioactive enclosure for Ornate horned frogs?

Hello all! Been a while since I posted a thread, but I am curious if this is a feasible idea or not. Lately, I've considered purchasing a CB Ornate horned frog from a reptile expo, but I was wondering if anyone has or knows about setting up a Bioactive enclosure for one. I do know horned frogs are probably not the best for that kind of enclosure, given their burrowing tendencies and their behavior of sitting in one spot, but I am curious if anyone could or has used them for an enclosure like that, and what plants and invertebrates should be used. Thanks all!

I've been looking into this a bit myself. I've had some thoughts.
The soil mix from abg would likely work, my only concern with it is how finely ground the orchid bark is in ABG mix. I actually mixed some soil earlier, and used a coffee grinder to grind my orchid bark down more. Very powdery now, no scraping/impaction risk. Abg official is probably similar.
Microfauna I feel like standard springtails and isopods would be fine. They should be small enough the pacman ignores them.
LLLReptile has a list of non-toxic plants for use in vivaria, should be useful since you don't want a pacman accidentally eating pothos.

There is people that have done it and have made it work, it's just trying to find those threads and see how they did it. I would still pick up the poo if doing it this way because they are pretty big and I'm not sure how fast your clean up crew would be able to dispose of it for you. My other concern would be if he burrowed down to the drainage layer which you would really need due to the amount pee they produce, I would be worried that while sitting on it and moving against it would or may really irritate his skin from rubbing against it and you wouldn't want him to rub so much that he cuts himself or gives himself something almost like rug burn would be for us. We have to remember that there belly skin is even more thin and sensitive then the skin on top. But again if you feel to do it there is people that have done it with some success from my knowledge, hope it works out for you if you end up doing it and glad to see you may finally get another frog and it may be a chunker. I know you haven't been able to have one for awhile due to your moving and stuff, they are great frogs and Ornata's are great Pacman frogs.

Thanks, that's the main reason I decided on them, not to mention I'm sure many vendors will sell them at the expo(s). I have decided to have it in a non-bioactive enclosure for when I first buy one, but to one day move it to one, once it's fully ready. Thanks for the pointers everyone!
