    Default Help! Horrible skin discoloration!

My poor frog did this today?! I don't know what the heck to do. I'm afraid he's going to die :,( It's getting worse too. Darker and covers more.

How is the frog's behavior? Soaking more than usual? Not climbing? Is it eating? How's the temperature in the tank?

It would be a good idea to get your frog tested for a fungal infection by a herp vet if you can.

He seems a little lethargic. He wasn't moving around much last night. Today he is slightly more active. He climbed up on his little log. I gave him some crickets yesterday but then I saw him turning this color so I dumped and disinfected the tank hoping I could prevent him from becoming more sick if it was bacterial. I didn. See him eat any of those crickets but I upped them in case they were infected. He's not soaking. It's about 75 in his tank with 80% humidity. I've read some different opinions on humidity for wtf so I just went with higher so he doesn't get dry.. oh I also put some antibiotics for amphibians in his soaking bowl!

If it's fungus, antibiotics won't help and might weaken him more, you need to look for something specifically antifungal. Keep in mind this still doesn't take dosage into account. (I'm guessing it might be fungal because one symptom is patchy shedding like yours has. See: http://www.petmd.com/reptile/conditi...ytridiomycosis
High humidity isn't bad, but you might want to make sure it gets lower than that occasionally, make sure there's good ventilation.
