Thread: Turning Substrate?

    Default Turning Substrate?

Hello! After a few years of caring for arachnids, I will be adopting my very first amphibian next week, a pacman frog. I've been doing quite a bit of research but one question still eludes me, what exactly does it mean to "turn" or "flip" the substrate? I've heard it needs to be done at least once a week. Is it just shuffling the substrate around? If so do I just remove the frog from its tank and quickly shuffle it? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, this is my first time caring for something that requires humidity.
