Tiny Mites(?) all over toads.

Hi! My two Woodhouse's Toads appear to have some sort of infestation. I looked up mites on frogs, and everything referred to mites in/on substrate and/or plants. These tiny little critters are all over my toads, from head to toe, quite literally, and are not (visible) anywhere else in the enclosure. I tried to take a picture, but failed to capture them. The toads appear quite comfortable and not distressed at all, but It seems odd. I checked my African Bullfrog, and couldn't find them on him. What should I do about them? I barely noticed them, so I don't know if they've been there for a while. I'll try again for pics later. They appear white, and extremely tiny. Thanks for any assistance!

Those sound like springtails, which are fungus eating bugs. If so they're probably harmless. But I do wonder why they're all over your toad. I've never seen more than one or two on my frogs at a time. Maybe they're too tiny to see in the substrate? You could take a magnifying glass and try to describe the shape of the bugs bodies. That might help.

After re-examining them in the morning, I only saw them in the substrate and not on the toads, I suspect they were burrowed and then surfaced, carrying them along for the ride. I'll find a magnifying glass soon. To the naked eye they look like tiny round white dots that are barely visible. I'm pretty sure they're no big deal now.
