It's a Spadefoot toad- it appears to be a Couch's Spadefoot.
They are seldom kept in captivity, so I doubt that there is much care info available.
They spend most of the year buried underground, and emerge during the rain.
If you decide not to release it where you found it, keep it in a deep substrate of soil/coco fiber mix (not gravel). Give it a shallow water dish and live invertebrates.
