Toad ate poo

I took a look in the toad tank and saw poo in the water dish, a large one. One toad, the larger one, was in the dish next to it. I went to go get some paper towels to clean up, and the poop is gone, except for a small chunk. The toad was shedding at the time, and looks to have also eaten the poo, for some reason! Is this common at all? Weird, and seems unhealthy.
