Once a month? At 6 months old? You can feed nice more than once a month. Especially if you are worried about body weight.
At that age and size, and worried about weight, keep temps around 80-82 and feed every three or four days.
I didn't say pinkies I said fuzzies.. If you use pinkies dip the rump in calcium with d3.
