I have a YouTube channel and you can see the setups on video to help you get a visual. The bin I had was too big for Toads. They rarely went in it. I think about 3-4 inches would be all that you would need for the toads. If you have that consistently for a stretch of tank then small fish are possible. I would go with Mosquitofish because they are native and imo the hardiest fish. But if you have fish it will mean more work for breeding because amphibians don't like to lay eggs where there are fish
