Sign in redirect

Hello,

Just a thought on the sign in redirect. As on other forums, it would be better if you were brought back to the topic that brought you here in the first place. Being redirected to the main page, means you have to search it out or go back to the link to open the page now that you have signed on.

Examples: when you get an email notification that the link sends you to the forum. Sign in and redirect to that link that sent you here. Like a new friend request, response to a thread, etc.

Just a thought to improve the workings of the forum.

You raise an interesting point. I would like to hear more opinions on this though. I really like having the site dashboard as the place I see when I log in. What do others think?

Are there different sign in screens? Like if you have a personal link to sign on only, as opposed to a link that sends you here for a pm or a thread reply?

Maybe different links could direct differently? Don't know.

I've modified the behavior to be as you wish.

As someone on lousy country style dialup where re-navigating to the place that asked me to log-in in the first place can take up half a cup of coffee, I like the new way much better. Thanks!
