I posted before about a "missing" toadlet in my 10 gallon. I've had to conclude that he didn't survive, and neither did the second one that emerged from the water. The third one came out a few days ago, and I transferred him into a critter keeper with a shallow lid as a water dish and moist paper towels as substrate. He seemed to thrive for a few days, and then this morning, I found him down in a corner, in a dry spot. I was afraid he was already dead, but when I got him on my finger he showed signs of life, so I put him in his water dish (not too deep) and he did seem to perk up a little. My fear is that he's still too weak to hunt the fruit flies I've been feeding him, and that he'll starve if he can't catch one soon. Is there anything I can add to the water that might give him some of his strength back? I know you can use Pedialyte for adults, but I wasn't sure about the babies. Does anyone have any experience nursing a dried-out toadlet back to health? I'd hate to lose him too.
