Thread: Some help.....

    Default Some help.....

Hi a friend has a red eye tree frog and she noticed a red mark on its Left rear knee. The heatmat is on the outside of the Exo terra that's it in and there were no crickets in there.

Anyone have any ideas what it might be?

I have no idea what that would be. You should try to get the frog to a vet if you can.

I am not a vet and can't tell for sure. It looks like a skin abrasion. But it also could be something broken or sprained. Keep a close watch on how the frog moves and watch for infection at the least. (It's pretty red, it might already be infected. You can try putting a drop of NON PAINKILLING neosporin or bactine on the knee. Vet would be a good idea to be safe.

I agree, looks like a vet trip is needed. It does look like a skin abrasion, so perhaps like Elly said some NON-PAINKILLING neosporin may help fight off any infections it may have from that injury. As stated before, just watch if it uses that leg or if the injury is preventing it from doing so
