Hi! For water dish size, it may be best to eventually switch from a smaller water dish to a larger one later, if you switch him to a 10 gallon later, for example. Depth Wise, you don't want it higher than the nostrils, pacmans aren't great swimmers. As for water conditioner, I've seen a number of brands thrown around, but as long as they take care of ammonia and chlorine, they should work. I use amquel myself, and I've never had a problem.
